Sir George HUME 10th Barron Of Weddeburn, son of Sir George HOME 9th Barron Of Weddeburn and Isabelle LIDDELL Of Reedhouse, was born about 1667 in Wedderburn Castle, Berwickshire, Scotland, was christened on 6 Oct 1667 in Dun Parish Church, Duns, Berwickshire, Scotland, and died about 1720 in Duns, Berwickshire, Scotland about age 53.

Served in Jacobite Army, 1715
Captured at Preston, Imprisoned and his Estates forfeited. His lands passed to a creditor, Rev. Ninian Home of Billie, who executed a new entail. Forfeited in 1715, and attained of treason 17 September 1719. Died before February 1725.

Sir George engaged in the cause of Prince Charles in 1715. was taken at Preston, tried and condemned, but pardoned, his estates were confiscated, but havng been mortgaged, and Ninian Home of Billie having bought up the debts, it was decreed that the Crown could not take possession of them, and thus Ninian got them himself. Died 1720
